Ibrat Font is a handwritten font that was created by Umar Riaz. The name Ibrat is an Urdu word and it means ‘by heart.’ Umar Riaz drew the hand-lettering for this typeface by himself purely with a 4B pencil on paper during his final year of study, at the National College of Arts in Lahore, Pakistan.
His aim was to represent the final products faithfully in digital form, using different platforms available including OpenType for Microsoft Windows and Mac OS operating systems.
This is a user-friendly font; it includes Latin glyphs (Western Letters), numerals, punctuations, etc. At the same time also contains Arabic glyphs, which are essential for the Urdu language.
